General Notes (Husband)

William came to Powell Valley from Washington Co., Tennessee about 1830. He was killed when he was run over by a wagon loaded with iron. He was a blacksmith. He also engaged in farming. His Granddaughter has a pair of hand scales made in London which William used for weighing out medicines. William and his wife are buried in unmarked graves.
