General Notes (Husband)

Turner studied for the ministry at a Friend's Academy and spent several summers as a circuit rider and contract teacher in Southern Indiana. Riding out on horseback to some backwoods community, he would teach the local children for a few days or weeks in exchange for whatever their parents could afford.

Minutes of Center Monthly Meeting in 1845 carried a report of the marriage of Turner Fallis to Hannah Thompson as being outside of the meeting and his name was dropped for disunity. 17
