In 1729 the West Precinct of Chelmsford was set off and incorporated as the town of Westford. Thomas occupied a tract of land on the west side of "Tadmuck Hill" now known as Heywood Place, probably on or adjoing land owned by his grandfather Daniel. Thomas's will dated May 16th, 1730, recorded in Middlessex wills Book 10, p. 92 mentions wife and daughters and son Thomas.
