General Notes (Husband)
Isaac enlisted in the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment Continental Line during the Revolutionary War about 1777 when he was only few months over the age of 13. He was at the Battle for Mammoth and at the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown in 1781. As a soldier he received eighty dollar annually. He was placed on the pension roll May 14, 1832 which was enacted by Congress May 15, 1828.
Isaac was given a land grant in Mercer Co. Kentucky (actually Mercer Co., Virginia) of 500 acres located in Chaplins Fk. In 1786 Mercer Co., Kentucky came into it's own, being completely formed from the northernmost tip of Lincoln County. In 1792, Kentucky gained statehood, having 8 counties at the time.
